8 SCAN OPERATION Full/band/programmed scan q Push [VFO/MHz] to select the VFO mode. • Select the desired frequency band with [BAND] and [DIAL], if desired. w Set the squelch level. e Push and hold [SCAN](VFO/MHz) for 1 sec. to enter the scanning type selection. r Rotate [DIAL] to select the desired scanning type. • "ALL" for full scan; "BAND" for band scan, "P-LINK x (or program scan link name if programmed)" for programmed link scan (x= 0 to 9), "PROGxx (or scan name if programmed)" for programmed scan (xx= 0 to 24; only programmed scan edge numbers are displayed), "DUP" (appears only when duplex operation is set) for duplex scan, "TONE" (appears only when the subaudible tone, tone squelch or DTCS squelch is set) for tone scan. Duplex scan function: Repeatedly scans two frequencies (transmission/reception) during duplex scan operation. Scan name can be displayed instead of "P-LINK x" for program link scan (x= 0 to 9), "PROGxx" for programmed scan (xx= 0 to 24) when scan name is programmed and set to ON in the DISP set mode.
