8 SCAN OPERATION Skip channel/frequency setting Memory channels can be set to be skipped during memory skip scan. In addition, memory channels can be set to be skipped during both memory skip scan and frequency skip scan. This is useful to speed up the scan rate. r Rotate [DIAL] to select "SKIP," then push [ ](MONI). q Select a memory channel: ± Push [M/CALL] to select the memory mode. ± Rotate [DIAL] to select the desired channel to be a skip channel/frequency. Rotate [DIAL] Push [ ] [DIAL][M/CALL] wPush [S.MW](MW) to enter the select memory write mode. • "X" indicator and the memory channel number blink. e Push [ ](MONI).
