KONICAMINOLTA CONFIDENTIAL 9. FAQ Q When in the printing process the alignment error will be reported? Alignment error will be reported under the two cases below. 1. When the parameters to align the ref. image to the target image are not available, and thus detection cannot be performed.  Possible causes  Wrong ref. image was selected.  Degree of misalignment between the ref. image and target image is larger than the criterial distance. 2. Differences on the peripheral edge area read on the ref. image vary widely, and thus it misjudged the misalignment as the stain. C-14 Detection A For the ref. image as below, edge area of the object (red frame) is extracted, and compared to its peripheral area (blue frame). Alignment error will be reported if the difference in tone between these two is too large. Ref. Q
When in the printing process the alignment error will be reported?
A
Alignment error will be reported under the two cases below.
1.
When the parameters to align the ref. image to the target image
are not available, and thus detection cannot be performed.
Possible causes
Wrong ref. image was selected.
Degree of misalignment between the ref. image and
target image is larger than the criterial distance.
2.
Differences on the peripheral edge area read on the ref. image
vary widely, and thus it misjudged the misalignment as the
stain.
For the ref. image as below, edge area of the object (red frame)
is extracted, and compared to its peripheral area (blue frame).
Alignment error will be reported if the difference in tone
between these two is too large.
