(5) AUTOFOCUSING 1 2 (DNIIOOHS) NOIlVii3dO OISV9 • 1 . Aim the AF frame I C 3 in the center of the viewfinder toward the subject. 2. When the shutter release button is depressed halfway down,the lens automatically focuses. * If your composition does not allow the AF frame C to be aimed on the subject, use the focus- lock technique to focus on the subject. See page 30. * When the subject is in focus, the green indicator 0 in the viewfinder lights up with the audible PCV signal. * The audible PCV signal can be turned off by the Pentax function No.1. See page 100. fq * During an autofocus ope ation, the focusing ring should not be obstructed with your fingers, hands, or any other object. If 0 _ blinks continuously, it indicates that the subject is hard to achieve focus for the following reasons. The subject is too close. 0 The subject is difficult to focus for the autofocus system. See page 37.
