The melody or beep sounds for 5 seconds. • Moisture condensation has occurred. c Remove the cassette and leave your camcorder for at least 1 hour to acclimatize (p. 221). • Some troubles have occurred in your camcorder. c Remove the cassette and insert it again, then operate your camcorder. No function works though the power is on. c Disconnect the AC Adaptor from a wall outlet or remove the battery pack, then reconnect the AC Adaptor or the battery pack in about 1 minute. Turn the power on. If the functions still do not work, press the RESET button using a sharp-pointed object. (If you press the RESET, all the settings including the date and time return to the default.) (p. 15, 16, 230) When you set the POWER switch to VCR or OFF (CHG), if you move your camcorder, you may hear a clattering sound from inside your camcorder. • This is because some functions use a linear mechanism. This is not a malfunction. While charging the battery pack, the CHARGE lamp does not light up. • Charging has completed. • The battery pack is not properly installed. c Install it properly (p. 15). You cannot charge the battery pack. • The POWER switch is not set to OFF (CHG). c Set it to OFF (CHG) (p. 16). While charging the battery pack, the CHARGE lamp flashes. • The battery pack is not properly installed. c Install it properly (p. 15). • Something is wrong with the battery pack. c If the problem persists, unplug the AC Adaptor immediately and contact your Sony dealer or local authorized Sony service facility. VIDEOINPUT is not set correctly in the menu settings.

Set it correctly (p. 194).

•

Moisture condensation has occurred.

Remove the cassette and leave your camcorder for at

least 1 hour to acclimatize (p. 221).

Remove the cassette and insert it again, then operate

your camcorder.

remove the battery pack, then reconnect the AC Adaptor

or the battery pack in about 1 minute. Turn the power

on. If the functions still do not work, press the RESET

button using a sharp-pointed object. (If you press the

RESET, all the settings including the date and time
