Self-timer recording Recording still images on a "Memory Stick" during recording standby The POWER switch should be set to . Operate by touching the panel. (1) Follow steps 1 to 3 in "Recording moving pictures on a tape" (p. 51). (2) Press PHOTO deeply. The self-timer starts counting down from about 10 seconds with a beep. In the last 2 seconds, the beep gets faster, and then your camcorder records still images automatically. To stop the countdown for recording on a tape Press START/STOP. To restart the countdown, press START/STOP again. To cancel the self-timer During standby, press SELFTIMER on the LCD screen to make the (self-timer) indicator disappear from the screen. You cannot cancel the self-timer using the Remote Commander. Notes •When self-timer recording is finished, the self-timer is automatically canceled. •You can record with the self-timer only during recording standby. When the POWER switch is set to MEMORY You can also record still images on a "Memory Stick" with the self-timer (p. 135). 52
