Configuring 802.1Q VLAN Link Type PVID LAG VLAN 802.1Q VLAN Configuration Select the link type of the port. It is Access by default. ACCESS: The port can only be added to one VLAN and its egress rule isUNTAG. An access port is usually connected to a terminal device that does not support VLAN, a host for example. TRUNK: The port can be added to more than one VLAN and its egress rule is TAG. A trunk port is usually connected to an intermediate device, such as a switch or a router, to carry traffic in different VLANs. GENERAL: The port can be a tagged or untagged member of one or more VLANs. The default egress rule is UNTAG. A general port can be connected to an intermediate device or a terminal. You can configure the egress rule on the VLAN > 802.1Q VLAN > VLAN Config page according to the connected device. Set the default VLAN ID of the port. The valid values are from 1 to 4094. It is used mainly in the following two ways: • When the port receives an untagged packet, the switch inserts a VLAN tag to the packet based on the PVID. • When the port receives an untagged UL packet or an untagged broadcast packet, the switch broadcasts the packet within the default VLAN. Displays the LAG (Link Aggregation Group) which the port belongs to. Check details of the VLAN which the port is in. Configuration Guide 185
