Back to TOC Scanning to CD The Scan to CD function is a quick, convenient way to scan and save scanned items to a rewritable CD. This feature is a helpful shortcut for people who frequently archive or store scans on CDs. To scan to a CD, you must have CD-writer hardware installed and have a rewritable CD available. 1 Start a new scan, and make any adjustments you want in using the scanning software. 2 In the HP Precisionscan Pro software, do one of the following: l On the Scan menu, click Scan to CD. l On the toolbar, click (Scan to CD). A Save As dialog box appears. 3 If a CD-writer drive is installed, this drive is automatically listed at the top of the dialog box. If you have created folders on your CD to organize images, select the desired folder in which to save the scan. 4 Type in a file name. 5 In the Format pull-down menu, select the file type. Scanning to CD
The Scan to CD function is a quick, convenient way to scan and save
scanned items to a rewritable CD. This feature is a helpful shortcut for
people who frequently archive or store scans on CDs. To scan to a CD,
you must have CD-writer hardware installed and have a rewritable CD
available.

Start a new scan, and make any adjustments you want in using the
scanning software.

In the HP Precisionscan Pro software, do one of the following:
l
On the
Scan
menu, click
Scan to CD
.
l
On the toolbar, click
(Scan to CD).
A
Save As
dialog box appears.

If a CD-writer drive is installed, this drive is automatically listed at
the top of the dialog box. If you have created folders on your CD to
organize images, select the desired folder in which to save the
scan.

Type in a file name.

In the
Format
pull-down menu, select the file type. To change the
file type, select a different file type in the drop-down list.

Click
Save
