92 Troubleshooting and maintaining The correct menu items do not appear in the HP Precisionscan Pro software. l If you used the ADF and then disconnected it, restart the software. l If you were using the XPA, on the Scan menu, click Scanner Glass to scan from the glass again. l If you are trying to use the XPA and the XPA (Slides) or XPA (Negatives) commands are unavailable, restart the software while the XPA light source is connected to the scanner. The scanner is making a loud clicking or grinding noise. The scanner is locked. Move the lock to the unlocked position. (Some models only, see the "Front panel and accessories comparisons" on page 3.) The scanner does not save multiple pages as a single file. l If you are scanning from a scanner button, make sure the Prompt for Another Page option is selected in the HP Scanjet Controls control panel. See "Configuring scanner buttons" on page 35. l If you are scanning from the HP Precisionscan Pro software, make sure the Enable Scan Another Page Dialog option is selected in the HP Precisionscan Pro Preferences dialog box.
