Service Processor/RXE-100 message FRU/action PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Fan X Failure 1. Verify no obstacles are blocking or inserted into the fan in RXE-100. 2. Check the physical connection and ensure fan is properly seated in RXE-100. 3. Replace fan in RXE-100. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Fan X not detected 1. Verify no obstacles are blocking or inserted into the fan in RXE-100. 2. Check the physical connection and ensure fan is properly seated in RXE-100. 3. Replace fan in RXE-100. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Fan X Outside Recommended Speed 1. Verify no obstacles are blocking or inserted into the fan in RXE-100. 2. Check the physical connection and ensure fan is properly seated in RXE-100. 3. Replace fan in RXE-100. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Front Control Panel Not Present 1. Verify operator information panel cables are properly connected (verify LED activity). 2. Operator information panel. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: High ambient temperature 1. Check all fans and remove any obstacles from the path of airflow in RXE-100. 2. Verify room temperature is within recommended range. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Hot Plug v Reseat/replace cable. Switch cable not detected PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Invalid Fan configuration v Replace any missing or failed fans. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Invalid v Verify RXE-100 cabling has been installed correctly. PCI Planar/RS485 Interconnect configuration PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: Invalid RS485 Interconnect Configuration v Verify RXE-100 cabling has been installed correctly. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: ISM controller over recommended temperature 1. Check all fans and remove any obstacles from the path of airflow in RXE-100. 2. Verify room temperature is within recommended range. PCI Expansion Unit X Side A or B: ISM controller over temperature 1. Remove ac power from the system and the RXE-100. Processor encountered failures upon starting 2. Restart system. 3. Run diagnostics.
