You can add and edit categories and associate various file types with each category. For example, you can add a category called Video and associate .flv, .swf, and .avi file types with it. 1 Select View > Pods > Resource Manager. Click the Add/Edit Categories button. 2 Click the Add Category button . 3 Enter a name for the new category and click OK. 4 Click the Add File Type button to add a file type for the selected category. Notes: • You can add file types to an existing category. • You can edit the file types in an existing category. • You can click Reset To Default to reset to the default view of the Resource Manager. All the user-defined categories and file types still exist in the root folder. Show or hide contents in the Resource Manager pod 1 Select View > Pods > Resource Manager. 2 Click the Show/Hide Categories button . 3 Select or deselect the categories to show or hide in the Resource Manager pod. 4 Select one of the following options: All Displays all the resources in the shared locations. Linked Displays only the resources used in the open project. Maintain shared resources 1 Select View > Pods > Resource Manager. 2 Do any of the following: Edit You can right-click a file to edit it in the associated editor. Explore Right-click a folder and select Explore to open the folder in Windows Explorer. You can right-click a file and select Explore to open the parent folder of the file in Windows Explorer. Copy Copies the selected file or folder to the Clipboard. Paste Pastes the copied file or folder to the shared location. Delete Select Delete from the right-click menu to delete a file or a folder. Rename Right-click a file or folder and select Rename to rename a file or a folder. Copy to Project folder Copies the selected files to the project root folder. Note: You must have the project open to copy the files to the project root folder. Export Select Export from the right-click options of a file or folder to export to the selected folder in the Export Resource Files dialog box. Add a category
Categories help you manage different types of resources. You can add and edit categories and associate various file
types with each category. For example, you can add a category called Video and associate .flv, .swf, and .avi file types
with it.

Select View > Pods > Resource Manager. Click the Add/Edit Categories button.

Click the Add Category button

Enter a name for the new category and click OK.

Click the Add File Type button
to add a file type for the selected category.
Notes:
You can add file types to an existing category.
You can edit the file types in an existing category.
You can click Reset To Default to reset to the default view of the Resource Manager. All the user-defined categories
and file types still exist in the root folder.
Show or hide contents in the Resource Manager pod

Select View > Pods > Resource Manager.

Click the Show/Hide Categories button
.

Select or deselect the categories to show or hide in the Resource Manager pod.

Select one of the following options:
All
Displays all the resources in the shared locations.
Linked
Displays only the resources used in the open project.
Maintain shared resources

Select View > Pods > Resource Manager.

Do any of the following:
Edit
You can right-click a file to edit it in the associated editor.
Explore
Right-click a folder and select Explore to open the folder in Windows Explorer. You can right-click a file
and select Explore to open the parent folder of the file in Windows Explorer.
Copy
Copies the selected file or folder to the Clipboard.
Paste
Pastes the copied file or folder to the shared location.
Delete
Select Delete from the right-click menu to delete a file or a folder.
Rename
Right-click a file or folder and select Rename to rename a file or a folder.
Copy to Project folder
Copies the selected files to the project root folder.
Note:
You must have the project open to copy the files to the project root folder.
Export
Select Export from the right-click options of a file or folder to export to the selected folder in the Export
Resource Files dialog box.
Import
(Folder) Imports one or more files into the selected folder.
Properties
Displays the properties of the selected file or folder.
