USING ROBOHELP HTML 9 370 Advanced program features Note: Add support files used in scripts (such as image files) to the Baggage Files folder to include in the project. Add a script to an HTML topic 1 In the Design Editor, click the place in the topic to add the script. 2 Select Insert > HTML > Advanced > Script. 3 In the Source tab, enter the scripting code. • If you first copy the script to the Clipboard, you can click inside the Source tab and paste the data into the box. You can also type the script directly into the box. • Enclose the script within comment tags for compatibility with all browsers. 4 Select the Tag tab, select a Name or Value tag to edit, and select Edit Name or Edit Value. 5 Change the tag, as needed, and click OK. The value can be VBScript or JavaScript. The icon indicates where the script is inserted in the topic. To edit the script, double-click the icon. 6 Test the HTML file after you generate output. About ExtendScript Toolkit support Create your own scripts to automate repetitive tasks and time-consuming workflows. For example, you can write a script that counts the images used in a RoboHelp project. RoboHelp provides a set of sample scripts that you can use or customize. You can access these sample scripts from Tool > Scripts. EclipseHelp Generator Use this script to generate EclipseHelp output. For a step-by-step procedure, see "Generate EclipseHelp" on page 305. ePub Generator Use this script to generate ePub output. For a step-by-step procedure, see "Generate output in the ePub format" on page 305. Image Extension Updater Use this script to update the file extension of image paths referred across topics in a project. By default, the script converts file extension .bmp to .png in each topic. You can update the script to convert different extensions. Note: The script updates the name of the image file referred in the topic; it does not create any image. The images with the new extension should be present in the location where the original images reside. Link Converter Use this script to convert an anchor link href target across all the files in a RoboHelp project. For example, define a link to convert www.adobe.com to www.adobe.com/support/ across all the Help files in a project. See the script file for more information. Master Page Import Use this script to import master pages. UDV Converter With UI Use this script to convert a keyword into a user-defined variable and change its value across all files in a project. Note:

Add support files used in scripts (such as image files) to the Baggage Files folder to include in the project.

Add a script to an HTML topic

In the Design Editor, click the place in the topic to add the script.

Select Insert > HTML > Advanced > Script.

In the Source tab, enter the scripting code.
