Table 24-1. iSCSI Optimization: Default Parameters Parameter iSCSI Optimization global setting iSCSI CoS mode (802.1p priority queue mapping) iSCSI CoS Packet classification VLAN priority tag DSCP Remark iSCSI session aging time iSCSI optimization target ports Default Value Enabled Enabled: dot1p priority 4 without remark setting iSCSI packets are classified by VLAN instead of by DSCP values. iSCSI flows are assigned by default to dot1p priority 4 without remark setting. None: user-configurable. Not configured. 10 minutes iSCSI well-known ports 3260 and 860 are configured as default (with no IP address or name) but can be removed as any other configured target. iSCSI Optimization Prerequisites • iSCSI optimization requires LLDP on the switch. LLDP is enabled by default (refer to Chapter 29, Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP)). • iSCSI optimization requires two ingress ACL groups to be configured. The ACL groups are allocated after iSCSI Optimization is configured. (refer to When to Use CAM Profiling). Configuring iSCSI Optimization To configure iSCSI optimization on a switch, follow these steps: Step 1 2 3 Task Command Configure iSCSI Optimization. The configuration files are stored in the flash memory in the CONFIG_TEMPLATE file. Note: DCB/DCBx will be enabled when the iSCSI configuration is applied. Save the configuration on the switch. Reload the switch. After the switch is reloaded, DCB/ DCBX and iSCSI monitoring will be enabled. iSCSI configuration: copy flash:/ CONFIG_TEMPLATE/ iSCSI_DCB_Config running-config write memory reload Command Mode EXEC Privilege EXEC Privilege 508 | iSCSI Optimization
