To configure the interfaces to send or receive different RIP versions from the RIP version configured globally, use either of the following commands in the INTERFACE mode: Command Syntax ip rip receive version [1] [2] ip rip send version [1] [2] Command Mode Purpose INTERFACE INTERFACE Set the RIP version(s) received on that interface. Set the RIP version(s) sent out on that interface. To configure an interface to receive or send both versions of RIP, include 1 and 2 in the command syntax. Figure 39-4 displays the command syntax for sending both RIPv1 and RIPv2 and receiving only RIPv2. Figure 39-4.
