Parameters vlan-id - Enter the default VLAN ID number, from 1 to 4093. Default VLAN1 Command Mode CONFIGURATION Usage Information By default, VLAN1 serves as the default VLAN for switching untagged L2 traffic on OS10 ports in Trunk or Access mode. If you use VLAN1 for network-specific data traffic, reconfigure the VLAN ID of the default VLAN. The command reconfigures the access VLAN ID, the default VLAN, of all ports in Switchport Acess mode. Ensure that the VLAN ID exists before configuring it as the default VLAN. Spaces between characters are not preserved after entering this command unless you enclose the entire description in quotation marks; for example, "text description". Enter a text string after the description command to overwrite any previously configured text string. Use the show running-configuration interface command to view descriptions configured for each interface. The no version of this command deletes the description.
