SCSI Tape Drive This section describes how to configure and install an internal SCSI tape drive. NOTE: Installing a SCSI tape drive requires an optional SCSI controller card. Removing and Installing an Internal SCSI Tape Drive NOTICE: See "Protecting Against Electrostatic Discharge" in the safety instructions in your Product Information Guide. 1 Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet. 2 Remove the tape drive carrier from the media bay by squeezing the release tabs on either side of the carrier down and forward, sliding the carrier gently from the bay.
