6.6 SnapIn´s Basically all THINTUNE software such like the local OS THINTUNE OS, as well as Client-software and tools is stored in the THINTUNE´s ROM. Of course THINTUNE OS continuously is improved. Especially in large customer projects special features are required. Since the space in the terminal's memory is very limited THINTUNE can be operated with SnapIn´s instead. SnapIn´s are small applications which can be loaded from a Web-server into the THINTUNE. After having setup the loaded SnapIn it might be launched by clicking onto the yellow arrow. Be notified that in contrast to Rexec snap-in´s locally will be executed! The according application is loaded into the THINTUNE memory any time THINTUNE is booted or started. 6.6.1 Configuring a SnapIn Label Determines the name of the SnapIn Root Path Specifies the path from where the SnapIn is loaded.. The according server needs to be a Wen-Server. Please be notified not to finish the URL with a final slash! Name Specifies the name of the SnapIn under which it is stored on the server. Please do not enter the .js name extension. This is done automatically by THINTUNE. Parameter Lets you enter parameters for a Snapin run snapin on terminal startup Automatically starts a Snapin when the has booted. hide snapin from menu Hides the Snapin from being displayed in the taskbar. 55
