10.1 DHCP Options
To offer you simple installation of THINTUNE Thin Clients with THINTUNE Manager there are two DHCP extensions
available: one lets you assign a THINTUNE into a predefined group of THINTUNE Manager, the other one assigns
the
IP-address
of
the
management-server

Assigning the IP-address of the management server is only needed if THINTUNE clients and the management server
are not (!) located in the same physical subnet (e.g. there is a firewall and/or a router in the physical connection
between THINTUNE and management server included).
Option 237 JSmanageD
IP-address and port of the THINTUNE OS Management server.
Option 238 THINTUNE Group
Name of the group which is available in THINTUNE Manager. Notation
follows the hierarchy of THINTUNE Manager, for example subnet.group.sub-
group
Option 240 Preferred
Server lets you define the IP-address of the server which should be used by THINTUNE
as the management server. This makes sense only if there are multiple
THINTUNE Manager Services available throughout a single subnet.
