NOTE: If you get a message that says, "The partition table on device xyz was unreadable... click Yes as many times as this message pops up. Boot Loader Installation • GRUB is selected as the default linux bootloader. If this is acceptable, press Next to continue. • HP recommends that you select Configure advanced boot loader options if you have IDE and SCSI drives in the system, or if you have a Promise FastTrak present in the system. You may need to do this and then select Change Drive Order to ensure that the drive you will be booting from is at the top. If you proceed further without making this change, your system might not boot properly. Kernel Parameters After selecting Configure advanced boot loader options, (and if you have a Promise FastTrak present in the system) enter: ide0=0x1f0,0x3f6,14 ide1=0x170,0x376,15 ide2=0 ide3=0 ide4=0 ide5=0 ide6=0 ide7=0 ide8=0 ide9=0 NOTE: Depending upon which storage deice you will be booting from, will determine if you should install the bootloader record on the (MBR) Master Boot Record.
