Installing a DVD drive 1. To install a DVD drive on models with four 3.5-inch, eight 2.5-ich or sixteen 2.5-inch hard disk drives, complete the following steps: a. Read the safety information that begins on page vii and "Installation guidelines" on page 28. b. Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords and all external cables. c. Unlock and remove the left-side cover (see "Removing the left-side cover" on page 48). d. Remove the fan cage assembly. e. Installing a DVD drive
1.
To install a DVD drive on models with four 3.5-inch, eight 2.5-ich or
sixteen 2.5-inch hard disk drives, complete the following steps:
a.
Read the safety information that begins on page vii and “Installation
guidelines” on page 28.
b.
Turn off the server and peripheral devices and disconnect the power cords
and all external cables.
c.
Unlock and remove the left-side cover (see “Removing the left-side cover”
on page 48).
d.
Remove the fan cage assembly.
e.
Open the bezel by pressing the button on the left edge of the bezel, and
rotate the left side of the bezel away from the server.
