System board connectors The following illustration shows the connectors on the system board. Battery Video controller Microprocessor Compression card SATA storage drive DIMM1 DIMM2 DIMM3 DIMM4 System board jumpers and buttons The following illustration shows the location of the BIOS recovery jumper and the clear CMOS button on the system board. BIOS recovery jumper Clear CMOS button The following table defines the function of each jumper and button on the system board. Name BIOS recovery jumper (J21) Description The BIOS recovery jumper (J21) can be opened or closed. In the open position, the jumper is only connected to one pin. To set the jumper to the closed position, place the jumper on both pins. v Open (default): Normal operation. v Closed: Enables the BIOS recovery mode that allows the BIOS firmware to be restored or updated.
