Using Audio Features Note: When installing an operating system, install the ESS AudioDrive support software to use the ESS AudioDrive feature. To install the ESS AudioDrive support software: Chapter 7. The computer provides the ESS AudioDrive Sound feature, which is based on the AudioDrive sound chip installed in your computer. The ESS AudioDrive sound feature gives you high performance for audio functions with the following features: Stereo business audio (8- to 16-bit) with Sound Blaster Pro** compatibility Playback of recorded sound or prerecorded sound files, such as .WAV files A -inch (3.5-mm) diameter external stereo line-in or monaural microphone-in jack A -inch (3.5-mm) diameter stereo headphone-out jack Use the ESS AudioDrive feature according to your operating system. OS/2 Note: Do not enter suspend mode when using the audio functions.
