Orbi Quad-Band Mesh WiFi 6E System CAUTION: Do not change these settings unless directed by NETGEAR support or unless you are sure what the consequences are. Incorrect settings might disable the WiFi function of a radio unexpectedly. IMPORTANT: If the smart connect feature is enabled, the CTS/RTS threshold and preamble mode apply to both radios. That means that you cannot change the CTS/RTS threshold and preamble mode for each radio individually. To change the CTS/RTS threshold and preamble mode for a radio: 1. Launch a web browser from a computer or mobile device that is connected to your Orbi network. 2. Enter orbilogin.com. A login window opens. 3. Enter the admin user name and password. The user name is admin. The password is the one that you specified the first time that you logged in. The user name and password are case-sensitive. The BASIC Home page displays. 4. Select ADVANCED > Advanced > Wireless Settings. The Advanced Wireless Settings page displays. 5. In the CTS/RTS threshold (1-2347) field, enter a value from 1 to 2437. The default value is 64. 6. Form the Preamble Mode menu, select the preamble mode: • Automatic: The automatic option (which is the default option) lets the router process both long and short preambles. • Long Preamble: A long transmit preamble might provide a more reliable connection or a slightly longer range. • Short Preamble: A short transmit preamble might give better performance. To change the CTS/RTS threshold and preamble mode for a radio:
1.
