Installing Brightmail Scanner for Windows If you see the following error, either you don't have the Windows SMTP Service installed on this computer or you attempted to install the product on a non-Server version of Windows, such as Windows 2000 Professional. The Windows SMTP Service is part of Exchange 2000 and 2003. The Brightmail Client requires the Windows SMTP Service to block spam. 7 You can also, in the Custom Setup dialog box, click the appropriate icon to expand the list of customization options for a component .
