Plug-Ins and Foldering 4 You can email your users a link to the setup.exe file in this directory, or use remote distribution software to install it on your users' computers. You can silently install by running setup.exe with the following switches: /s /v"/qn" NOTE: If you run setup.exe with the command /s /v"/qn", the silent install option ignores changes made to setup.ini. To preserve your changes, add /qn to the end of the CmdLine attribute in setup.ini, and then run the silent install using: /s. NOTE: Instruct users to close Outlook before running the installer by clicking File, and then clicking Exit. If they close Outlook in any other way, Outlook may continue to run in memory and return an error. To configure system-wide settings for the Symantec Plug-in for Outlook (optional): 1 Open the setup.ini file for editing. This file contains the initial settings for launching the Symantec Plug-in for Outlook installation package. All the settings you need to use can be set on the CmdLine attribute in the [Startup] section at the beginning of the setup.ini file.
