Frequently asked questions NOTES: • If the Auto attendant option is selected, make sure both the daytime and night time announcements are recorded, and the announcement time is set for daytime announcement. Night time announcement will be played for unanswered incoming calls outside of the designated announcement time period. • If the No answer option is selected, no announcement will be played when an incoming call isn't answered after the set number of rings. The caller can't dial to an extension directly • Make sure that you have set the Line mode to Auto attendant, and that the Directory announcement is recorded correctly to suit your company's needs. • The caller will hear "For company directory, dial # (pound key) twice" after the daytime or night time announcement. After pressing # twice, the caller can follow the directory announcement to press the correct number for an extension in your company. There are three ways to do so: • Choose from default music If you want callers on hold to hear one of the three default music that comes with the telephone, select the desired music (M.O.H. 1 - M.O.H. 3) in the M.O.H. source menu. • Choose music from an audio source recorded in the console If you want callers on hold to hear audio or music from an audio source that you recorded in the console using the audio cable, select Recorded M.O.H. in the M.O.H. source menu. • Choose music directly from an audio source If you want callers to hear audio directly streamed into the telephone, connect an audio source, such as a computer, mobile phone or MP3 player, to the console using the audio cable. NOTE: • To turn off the M.O.H., select Hold tone in the M.O.H. source menu so that callers will hear the hold reminder tone. 97
