Chapter 25 ZyXEL MODEMS AND AMIGA You may connect any of the external models of the ZyXEL 2864 series to an Amiga computer. The default modem settings should work fine in most instances. Cable Among the Amiga computers, two versions of the serial port exist. For the models with a female connector, you need a gender changer to fit the plug into the socket. Under no circumstances should any other pin be connected than those described in the table below. Depending on the model of your Amiga computer, you may damage your modem if other pins are connected! Some Amiga models carry non-standard voltages on their connectors.
