ReadyNAS for Home RAIDiator 5.3 Back Up Data Stored on a Network-Attached Device You can use Dashboard to create jobs to back up data that resides primarily on a network-attached device to your ReadyNAS device. You can edit these settings after you create each backup job. For more information, see Edit a Backup Job on page 96. Before trusting your backup job to a schedule, it is a good practice to manually perform the backup to make sure that access to the remote backup source or destination is granted, and that the backup job can be done within the backup frequency you selected. You can do this after you create each backup job. For more information, see Manually Start a Backup Job on page 98. Backup and recovery jobs using Time Machine require different procedures.
