Send/Receive Documents Searching for an auto-dial number If you don't remember the Rapid Key or Speed Dial number in which you have programmed a particular fax number, you can search for the number by following the steps below. Once you have found the number, you can dial it and transmit the loaded document by simply pressing START/ ENTER . ♦ You can also use this procedure to search for Group Keys and Program Keys (the name you programmed for the Group or Program key will appear). This can be done at any point in a transmission or polling procedure where you need to press a Group Key or a Program Key. 1 Load the document(s). SEND READY will appear in the display. • Press RESOLUTION and/or CONTRAST to set the resolution and contrast if needed. 2 Press A to search from the beginning of the alphabet, or Z to Display: SEARCH [ ] AAAAAAA BBBBBBBB search from the end. The names of your stored destinations appear Note: If the network scanner option is installed and your network has an LDAP server (see page 110), the left arrow key is used to search for a destination on the LDAP server. 3 Enter the first character of the stored name by pressing the appropriate letter entry key. • If you don't remember the first letter, go to Step 4 (you will scroll through the list from the beginning). 4 Press or to scroll through the names.
