OPERATIONAL FUNCTION [Operational]: Operation settings Description of settings AUTO EE SELECT [> Auto EE]: Determine whether the unit enters E-E mode or PB mode when audio and video signals from other equipment are input. When this unit is used as the recorder for cut editing, it is possible to output the input audio and video signals to the monitor. This enables editing operation to be carried out using a single monitor. CASSETTE OUT [>> Cass. out]: Specify how the unit behaves when the cassette has been ejected F. FWD/REW [>> F. FWD/ REW]: Specify how the unit behaves when in fast forward or rewind mode STOP [>> STOP]: Specify how the unit behaves when in stop mode STANDBY OFF [>> STBY OFF]: Specify how the unit behaves when in standby off mode *EE [>>> EE]: Outputs video and audio signals received from other equipment. PB [>>> PB]: Does not output video and audio signals. *EE [>>> EE]: Outputs video and audio signals received from other equipment. PB [>>> PB]: The unit enters playback mode and outputs a playback video signal. Audio signals are suppressed. EE [>>> EE]: Outputs video and audio signals received from other equipment. *PB [>>> PB]: The unit enters playback mode and outputs a still picture. EE [>>> EE]: Outputs video and audio signals received from other equipment. *PB [>>> PB]: The unit enters playback mode and outputs a still picture. LOCAL ENABLE [> Local ENA]: Select which of the tape transport control buttons (EJECT, REW, PLAY, F FWD, STOP, and REC) operate when the LOCAL/REMOTE switch is set to REMOTE. ALL DISABLE [>> All DIS]: All of the tape transport control buttons are disabled. *STOP & EJECT [>> STOP&EJ]: Only the STOP and EJECT buttons are enabled. ALL ENABLE [>> All ENA]: All of the tape transport control buttons are enabled, and settings such as preroll time change or time data display selection are effective. REC FORMAT [> REC format]: Select the recording format. *DVCAM [>> DVCAM]: DVCAM format DV (SP) [>> DV (SP)]: DV (SP) format ASSIGN KEY [> assign key]: Select the menu item (item on level 1 or level 2) whose setting is to be assigned to the ASSIGN button. When you assign a menu item to the ASSIGN button, then you can recall it by simply pressing the ASSIGN button. REC INHIBIT [> REC INH]: Determine whether to prohibit recording on tape. When set to ON, REC INHIBIT appears in the LCD monitor screen (in status display mode) and recording on tape is prohibited. SEARCH ENABLE [> Search ENA]: Select whether to enable playback in shuttle/jog mode by the use of the arrow buttons. Note When HD VIDEO input is selected, the recording format is set to HDV regardless of the setting of this menu item.
