CHAPTER 22 Sys Op Mode 22.1 Overview The Sys Op Mode (System Operation Mode) function lets you configure whether your NBG334W is a router or AP. You can choose between Router Mode and AP Mode depending on your network topology and the features you require from your device. See Section 1.1 on page 29 for more information on which mode to choose. 22.1.1 Router A router connects your local network with another network, such as the Internet. The router has two IP addresses, the LAN IP address and the WAN IP address. All Ethernet ports on the AP have the same IP address. To connect to the Internet, another device, such as a router, is required. NBG334W User's Guide 199
