Remote Commands Follow the commands below to access features remotely. When you call the MFC and enter your Remote Retrieval Access Code (159 ), the system will signal you with two short beeps to enter a remote command. Operation Details After one long beep, the MFC plays the ICMs (Incoming Messages). Press 1 while listening to an ICM to play it again. Press 1 before a message to return to the previous message. While playing an ICM, you can skip to next message. Stop playing the ICM. If you hear one long beep, the erase is accepted. If you hear three short beeps, you cannot erase because all voice messages have not been played, or there is no voice message to erase. * This code erases all recorded messages, not one at a time. The MFC plays the OGM. To stop playing the OGM, press 9. After one long beep, start recording the OGM. Your recorded message will be played when you finish speaking. To stop recording, press 9. If you hear one long beep, the change is accepted. If you hear three short beeps, you cannot change the setting because the conditions have not been met (Example: registering paging number). You can register your fax forwarding number by using 4. FAX FWD NO (see page 12-14). Once you have registered the number, the MFC will automatically change to FAXFWD:ON mode. Then retrieve a Memory Status List by entering 961 (see page 12-13) to make sure the list now shows the correct Fax Forwarding number. MESSAGE CENTER 12 - 11
