Setting the User Bit Setting the User Bit The user bit display can be selected from the date or the time of recording, or an identification code consisting of 8 characters in the hexadecimal system. There are sixteen possible characters: the numbers 0 to 9 and the letters A to F. The user bit will be output from the HDMI OUT terminal. Operating modes: 64 1 Open the [User Bit Settings] screen. > [3 # Recording Setup] > [User Bit Type] > [i] • To set the time for the user bit, select [ Time] instead; to set the date for the user bit, select [ Date]. Then, select [X]. The rest of the procedure is not necessary. • The user bit setting screen will appear with the orange selection frame on the leftmost digit. • To reset the user bit to [00 00 00 00], select [Reset]. • Select [Cancel] to close the screen without setting the user bit. 2 Select the digit you want to change and then select [Í] or [Î] to change it as necessary. 3 Select another digit you want to change. 4 Change the rest of the digits in the same way. 5 Select [OK] and then select [X]. NOTES • The user bit will not be recorded with clips that are recorded to an SD card.

Open the [User Bit Settings] screen.

To set the time for the user bit, select [

]. The rest of the procedure is not necessary.
The user bit setting screen will appear with the orange selection frame on the leftmost digit.
To reset the user bit to [00 00 00 00], select [Reset].
Select [Cancel] to close the screen without setting the user bit.
