108 Exchanging Messages Notes • When Auto-retrieve in MMS settings is disabled, only the message header is downloaded. To download the entire message, touch the Download button at the right side of the message. Once the message has downloaded, touch the Play button to view the message. For details, see "Adjusting text and multimedia message settings" later in this chapter. • If you are concerned about the size of your data downloads, check the multimedia message size before you download it. To reply to a text or multimedia message 1. In the message list, touch a text or multimedia message thread to open it. 2. Use the TRACKBALL to navigate to the text box at bottom of the screen, enter your reply message, and then touch Send or press . Touch a message to open it. Enter your reply Touch Send to send message here. out your reply. Tip To reply a text message with a multimedia message, open the text message, press , then touch Add subject, or Attach. The text message is automatically converted into a multimedia message. To delete a message or a message thread 1. In the message list, touch the message thread that you want to delete. 2. Do any of the following: • To delete the entire thread, press , then touch Delete thread. When prompted to confirm deletion, touch OK.
