42 Getting Started To change the screen orientation Slide open the keyboard to change the screen orientation into landscape mode. Note In Browser and Pictures, you can set the screen to remain in landscape or portrait orientation regardless of whether the keyboard is open. See Chapter 7 and Chapter 9 for details. To create a folder and add items to it You can create folders on the Home screen to hold application icons or shortcuts. 1. Do any of the following on the Home screen: • Press MENU, then touch Add > Shortcut > Folder. • Touch and hold the screen to open the Add to Home menu, then select Shortcuts > Folder. A new folder appears on the screen. 2. Touch and hold an application icon or a shortcut on the Home screen to activate move mode, then drag it on top of the folder. 3. Touch the folder to open it. When opened, touch the folder's title bar to close it. Notes • Delete a folder as you would delete a Home screen item. See "To remove a Home screen item" earlier in this chapter. • To rename an open folder, touch and hold the folder's title bar. On the Rename folder dialog box, enter the new folder name using the keyboard, then touch OK.

To change the screen orientation
Slide open the keyboard to change the screen orientation into landscape mode.
Note
In Browser and Pictures, you can set the screen to remain in landscape or portrait
orientation regardless of whether the keyboard is open. See Chapter 7 and Chapter 9
for details.
To create a folder and add items to it
You can create folders on the Home screen to hold application icons or shortcuts.
1.
Do any of the following on the Home screen:
Press MENU, then touch
Add > Shortcut > Folder.
Touch and hold the screen to open the Add to Home menu, then select
Shortcuts > Folder
.
A new folder appears on the screen.

Touch and hold an application icon or a shortcut on the Home screen to
activate move mode, then drag it on top of the folder.
3.
Touch the folder to open it. When opened, touch the folder’s title bar to close
it.
Notes
Delete a folder as you would delete a Home screen item. See “To remove a Home
screen item” earlier in this chapter.
To rename an open folder, touch and hold the folder’s title bar. On the Rename
folder dialog box, enter the new folder name using the keyboard, then touch
OK
.
