RECONFIG. 7 Reconfiguring Your Plotter Recalibrating the Plotter for Accuracy Recalibrating the Plotter for Accuracy When to Recalibrate the Plotter Your plotter was calibrated at the factory using HP Matte Film, with a thickness of 0.12 mm (0.0048 in); at 23_C (73_F), with 50-60% relative humidity. It will operate with greatest accuracy in similar environmental conditions. If you are operating under significantly different conditions, you should recalibrate the plotter as explained here. The plotter's environmental specifications are given on page 11-4. Also, if you are using a non-standard media type, you should first recalibrate the plotter for that media type. For supported media types, see page 3-3. You may also need to recalibrate the plotter if you have banding problems, see page 9-20. Recalibrating the Plotter for Accuracy
When to Recalibrate the Plotter
Your plotter was calibrated at the factory using HP Matte Film, with a thickness of
0.12 mm (0.0048 in);
at 23
_
C (73
_
F),
with 50-60% relative humidity.
It will operate with greatest accuracy in similar environmental conditions.
If you
are operating under significantly different conditions, you should recalibrate the
plotter as explained here.
The plotter’s environmental specifications are given on
page 11-4.
Also, if you are using a non-standard media type, you should first
recalibrate the plotter for that media type.

You may also need to recalibrate the plotter if you have banding
