Installing Additional Components Removing and Replacing the Top Metal Cover Removing and Replacing the Top Metal Cover To access any of the internal components in the HP Integrity rx2620 server, you need to remove the top metal cover. The following procedures describe how to remove and replace the top metal cover. Removing the Top Metal Cover Step 1. Unlock the top metal cover lock with the key provided on the rear of the server. Figure 3-1 shows the location of the lock. Rotate the blue release lever toward the back of the system and slide the cover toward the back of the system. See Figure 3-2 for more information. Removing and Replacing the Top Metal Cover
To access any of the internal components in the HP Integrity rx2620 server, you need to remove the top metal
cover. The following procedures describe how to remove and replace the top metal cover.
Removing the Top Metal Cover
Step 1.
Unlock the top metal cover lock with the key provided on the rear of the server. Figure 3-1 shows
the location of the lock.

Step 2.
Rotate the blue release lever toward the back of the system and slide the cover toward the back of
the system. See Figure 3-2 for more information.

Step 3.
Lift the top metal cover off the system chassis.
