182 Chapter 14-Power Kits Activating the IPDS service with a new driver Select an IPDS driver for use in the IPDS service. Requirements: ● The IC-307 print controller must be running. ● No IPDS jobs can be printing on the Creo color server. 1. Double-click the Transaction IPDS shortcut on the desktop. The page displays the Transaction IPDS software. 2. Select Actions > Login. 3. In the Account Name list, select admin. 4. In the Password box, type admin. 5. Click Login. 6. Select Actions > Halt IPDS Service to stop the Transaction IPDS service. 7. Select Configuration > Services. 8. In the Driver list, select the driver that you want to use for the IPDS service. 9. Verify that the Activate check box is selected. 10. Click Save Changes. 11. Select Status > Overall Status. Your IC-307 print controller is now waiting for a host connection and can be treated as an IPDS printer with the IP address of the IC-307 print controller. 12. On the IPDS host, configure the IPDS device description to point to the IP address of the IC-307 print controller and to port 5001. You can now receive IPDS print jobs on your IC-307 print controller. Configuring emulation Select the IPDS emulator. The IPDS driver and service emulate the IPDS 4322 printer by default. Requirements: The IC-307 print controller must be running.

Activating the IPDS service with a new driver
Select an IPDS driver for use in the IPDS service.
Requirements:
The IC-307 print controller must be running.
No IPDS jobs can be printing on the Creo color server.

Double-click the
Transaction IPDS
shortcut on the desktop.
The page displays the Transaction IPDS software.

Select
Actions
>
Login
.
3.
In the
Account Name
list, select
admin
.
4.
In the
Password
box, type
admin
.
5.
Click
Login
.
6.
Select
Actions
>
Halt IPDS Service
to stop the Transaction
IPDS service.
7.
Select
Configuration
>
Services
.
8.
In the
Driver
list, select the driver that you want to use for the
IPDS service.
9.
Verify that the
Activate
check box is selected.

Click
Save Changes
.
11.
Select
Status
>
Overall Status
.
Your IC-307 print controller is now waiting for a host
connection and can be treated as an IPDS printer with the IP

12.
On the IPDS host, configure the IPDS device description to

You can now receive IPDS print jobs on your IC-307 print
controller.
Configuring emulation
