To define the Local Engine ID: 1. Click System > SNMP > SNMPv3 > Engine ID. The SNMPv3 Engine ID screen displays: Figure 3-8 The SNMPv3 Engine ID screen contains the following fields: • Local Engine ID (10-64 Characters) - Enter the local device Engine ID. The field value is a hexadecimal string. Each byte in hexadecimal character strings is two hexadecimal digits. Each byte digit can be separated by a period or a colon.
