Select off if you want to disable it. Authentication Type The P-794H supports PAP (Password Authentication Protocol) and CHAP (Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol). CHAP is more secure than PAP; however, PAP is readily available on more platforms. Select the authentication protocol type provided by your ISP. You can choose from: User name Password User Idle Timeout Configure • auto: The P-794H accepts either CHAP or PAP when requested by this remote node. • non: The P-794H does not accept any authentication protocol type. • pap: The P-794H accepts PAP only. • chap: The P-794H accepts CHAP only. Enter the user name exactly as your ISP assigned. If assigned a name in the form user@domain where domain identifies a service name, then enter both components exactly as given. Enter the password associated with the user name above. You can specify the time in minutes that elapses before the P-794H automatically disconnects from the ISP. Edit a WAN Connection

configuration screens vary according to the service mode of your connection.
PPPoE Auto
