Chapter 15 Security Table 85 Raw IP Filter (continued) LABEL DESCRIPTION Direction Specify whether inbound traffic and outbound traffic is to be allowed or blocked. Apply Click this to save your settings. Host Validator A validator allows/blocks traffic based on the source/destination IP address and the subnet mask. Traffic will be allowed or blocked depending on the validator configuration specified when the policy was created. Click Port Filters in the Security Policy Configuration screen. Click Host Validators then Add Host Validator to display the following. Figure 118 Host Validator The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 86 Raw IP Filter LABEL DESCRIPTION Host IP Address Enter the host's IP address that is to be allowed/blocked. Host Subnet Mask Enter the host's subnet mask. If a range of addresses is to be filtered, the mask can be specified, for example, 255.255.255.0. If a single IP address is to be filtered, use the specific IP mask address, for example, 255.255.255.255. Direction Specify if you want to allow inbound and/or outbound traffic.
