Table 48 RFC 1483 Routed/MER: Edit IP Interface LABEL IPaddr Mask Dhcp DESCRIPTION Enter the IP address for this interface. Enter the subnet mask for this interface in dot decimal notation. The subnet mask indicates what part of the IP address is the same for all computers in the network. You can select if you want to use DHCP. If you select true, your P-794H can assign IP addresses, an IP default gateway and DNS servers to Windows 95, Windows NT and other systems that support the DHCP client. MTU Source Addr Validation If you select false, the DHCP server will be disabled. Enter the Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) or the largest packet size per frame that your P-794H can receive and process. You can enable extra checking of the source address for packets received on this interface by selecting true. The system only accepts packets from valid addresses that have already been identified. The Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) for IPv4 is a network layer Internet rotocol that reports errors and provides other information relevant to IP packet processing.
