Chapter 8 DHCP Server 8.2 Enable DHCP Server The DHCP server feature allows the P-794H to dynamically assign IP addresses to DHCP clients on the LAN. If the DHCP server is disabled, you need to manually assign a static IP address to computers on your network. See Appendix B on page 233 for more information on configuring a static IP on your computer. Click Configuration > DHCP Server in the navigation panel. The DHCP Server screen displays. Click the Enable button to activate the DHCP server on the P794H. Note: DHCP server and DHCP relay cannot be enabled at the same time. The DHCP server operates on all available IP interfaces by default. However, if you want to enable DHCP server and DHCP relay at the same time, you can assign the DHCP server to operate on one specific interface.
