Chapter 16 IP Routes 16.2.1 Add/Edit IP Route The following screen shows if you click Create new IP V4Route or Advanced Options. in the Use this screen to configure the required information for a static route. Figure 129 Add/Edit IP Route The following table describes the labels in this screen. Table 92 Add/Edit IP Route LABEL Destination DESCRIPTION This parameter specifies the IP network address of the final destination. Routing is always based on network number. Gateway This is the IP address of the gateway. The gateway is a router or switch on the same network segment as the device's LAN or WAN port. The gateway helps forward packets to their destinations. Netmask This parameter specifies the IP network subnet mask of the final destination. Cost Enter the cost of transmission for routing purposes. Interface Select the interface through which the traffic is sent. Advertise Select true if you want the route to be advertised via RIP. If not, select false. Reset Click this to restore your previously saved settings. Apply Click this to save your changes. Cancel Click this to return to the previous screen without saving. P-794H User's Guide 201
