For field descriptions of individual screens, see the related technical reference in this User's Guide. 3.2 Configuring Point-to-Point Connection In this scenario, a head-quarter company wants to set up a point-to-point connection with its branch office by using two P-794Hs. The two P-794Hs are directly connected together through their DSL ports. The P-794H on headquarter's side is the server and set as CO mode. The P-794H on branch office's side is the client and set as CPE mode. The maximum transfer rate for the DSL connection between CO and CPE is 5696 Kbps and the minimum transfer rate is 1920 Kbps. The two P-794Hs and the computers behind them can be in the same DHCP domain but must have different IP addresses. In the example below, the IP address of the CO is 192.168.1.1 and it provides an IP of 192.168.1.2 to the computer on its LAN. The IP P-794H User's Guide 33
