Problem Printing beyond edge of page Cause Paper may not be aligned correctly in sheet feeder. Software settings may be incorrect. FUNCTION 1 may be set incorrectly. Solution Make sure the paper is aligned correctly in the sheet feeder. Check the software setting for the right margin. Check the setting of FUNCTION 1. This setting controls the horizontal print position: t For letter-size paper, set it to OFF. t For envelopes, set it to OFF. t For A4-size paper, set it to ON. Make sure the paper size you select within your printer driver matches the orientation in which you load the paper in the printer. Make sure the width of the paper on which you are printing matches the width defined by your software so the paper is always between the print head unit and the platen.
