Problem Multiple sheets load into printer Cause Paper may not be inserted correctly. Sheets of paper may be sticking together. Too much paper may be stacked in the sheet feeder. Different types of paper may be stacked in the sheet feeder. Solution Make sure paper is inserted all the way into the sheet feeder. Make sure the paper is not sticking together. Be sure to fan the stack of paper before placing it in the sheet feeder. Make sure the stack of paper does not exceed the paper guide. If necessary, remove a few sheets from the sheet feeder. Do not force the stack into the sheet feeder. Load just one type of paper. Make sure you are loading paper that matches the specifications of this printer. See Appendix A, Specifications, for details. Envelopes do not load Envelopes may not be loaded correctly. Make sure the envelopes are loaded properly: t The top of the envelope goes in first. t The flap is toward the sheet feeder. t The right side of the envelope is aligned against the right side of the sheet feeder. t The left side is aligned against the paper guide. Make sure there are no more than five envelopes in the sheet feeder. Single envelopes may not be feeding correctly. For manual loading, make sure the envelope is inserted all the way into the printer. Envelopes may not match specifications for this printer.
