Selecting the Reduction Mode We recommend that you use Reduction mode with MS-DOS applications only (not Windows applications). Windows applications have a fit-to-page feature that is not compatible with Reduction mode. To select the reduction mode, follow these steps: 1. Press the MENU button once. t The printer beeps once when it enters Menu mode. 2. Press the MENU button again. t The display shows the possible Reduction modes: 3. Press the button to select the desired Reduction mode. 4. When the desired Reduction mode is blinking, press the ON LINE button. t The ON LINE light comes on. t Printing in the selected Reduction mode is enabled. 70 Using the Operator Panel Chapter 5

Selecting the Reduction Mode
We recommend that you use Reduction mode with MS-DOS applications

To select the reduction mode, follow these steps:
1.
Press the

button once.
The printer beeps once when it enters Menu mode.

button again.
The display shows the possible Reduction modes:

When the desired Reduction mode is blinking, press the
ON LINE
button.
The
ON LINE
light comes on.
Printing in the selected Reduction mode is enabled.
