Maintenance The most important thing you can do to extend the life of your MultiPASS and to ensure optimum print quality is to take care of the BJ cartridges. c Spilled ink can stain any surface. Open BJ cartridges and ink tanks carefully, and follow the guidelines here to protect against spilled ink. I If you are using both the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge and any of the optional BJ cartridges, be sure to store the BJ cartridge not being used in the Ink Cartridge Storage Box provided with your MultiPASS. I Keep BJ cartridges and ink tanks in their sealed containers until you are ready to use them. I Do not remove the ink tanks from the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge unnecessarily. This may cause the ink to clog. I Make sure both ink tanks are installed in the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge. Attempting to use the BC-21e Color BJ Cartridge with only one ink tank installed may cause the ink to clog. I If spilled, the ink is difficult to remove. Therefore, it's a good idea to keep the BJ cartridge and ink tanks out of the reach of children. I Do not touch the print head area on the BJ cartridge. Ink may leak out and cause stains.
