I/O menu Items on the I/O (input/output) menu affect the communication between the product and the computer. If the product contains an HP Jetdirect print server, you can configure basic networking parameters by using this submenu. You can also configure these and other parameters through HP Web Jetadmin or the embedded Web server. For more information on these options, see Network configuration on page 68. To display: Press the Menu button , select the CONFIGURE DEVICE menu, and then select the I/ O menu. NOTE: Values that have an asterisk (*) are the factory-default values. Some menu items have no default. Item I/O TIMEOUT Sub-item Values Range: 5 - 300 EMBEDDED JETDIRECT MENU See the next table for a list of options. Description Allows you to set the product I/O TIMEOUT in seconds. The default is 15 seconds. Use this setting to adjust timeout for the best performance. If data from other ports appears in the middle of your print job, increase the timeout value.
